Urbanization and Land Ownership in the Ancient Near East – Summary
This is a review of the second volume of the series edited by Michael Hudson and others. I do not know the name of the author. There are more by the same author in the blog and can be found by searching for Michael Hudson. I found this blog while revisiting these volumes after two years, unfortunately the first volume disappeared from our library. I stated revisiting these volume while reading ‘Against the grain’ by James C. Scott since I felt that he missed parts of the early history, particularly Göbekli Tepe. There are overall summaries and interviews with Michael Hudson in a few places. Here are two from 2014 and 2015.
