A survey article on the recent progress in 3-manifolds http://arxiv.org/pdf/1205.0202v1.pdf Many of the problems that we only dreamed about seem to have been solved by a bunch of relatively young mathematicians. I can only hope to get an idea of the achievement and do not expect to understand many of the proofs.
