Some time ago I wrote about old Telugu songs on youtube:
that "have been recently uploaded on YouTube. Search under VSVutukuri, Mukkamala2020, MadhuraGeetalu, TeluguBoss, vjdnld etc"
All have disappeared. It seems that youtube has a three strikes rule and there were complaints about copy right violations. Those gentlemen have taken a lot of trouble to compile the collections. Sometimes seeing the sceneries, background adds to the attraction of the song. (I was using 'Edukondalavda venkataramana sadduseyaka neevu nidura povayya' from 'Pelli chesi chudu' as a lullaby for my grand daughter. She liked the video more than the song.). I hope that those videos can be resurrected in some site taking due care of the copy right rules.
Some like telugutunnel are still working though erratically. Palleturu has some nice songs, two on 'samkranti', Vemulapalli Srikrishna's 'Cheyeyyi jaikottu telugoda' and Srisri's 'polalananni halaladunni'.

Hi Sir,
I am a huge fan of telugu oldies and even I am surprised that youtube has suspended the accounts of almost everyone who posted wonderful oldies. I even asked one of the uploaders and he said youtube told him that he had violated copyrights! I am extremely disappointed with youtube. They don't keep a check on the number of inappropriate videos that are being posted!! Is there anyway we can contact youtube?
So far, I have been able to contact one of the people whose videos are removed and the rumor is that a Telugu person is now employed at a higher level in youtube and is interested in commercializing Telugu songs. This is only a rumor. It seems that many people who upload these videos are enthusiasts who want to share but have not checked the copy right rules which may vary from country to country. May be some of these people can come together and start their own site with due regard to the rules.
Another possibility. I have seen some blogs which have videos of Telugu songs. Perhaps, the videos which have been taken off and which are legal can be posted in blogs. That may be less expensive and the work load can be spread over several bloggers.
From oldtelugusongs discussion group:
"www.hamaracd.com is an associate of HMV/SAREGAMA/RPG where you have
the choice of selecting your own songs. The CD will be prepared by
them, alongwith the artwork selected by us and then delivered to us.
I got a couple of CDs from them like this. The cost roughly worked
out to Rs.12 per song or something like that."
