I cannot get over thisphotographfrom Shivam's blog. Apart from Shivam (?) picking his nose, the characters or lifetime experiences of some of the others seems etched on their faces.
but i am NOT picking my nose. it only appears i am going to. The title of the post says "Pick your nose" not that i am doing it. Do it do it? Sometimes!
The photo was taken by a colleague without my knowledge in Pushkar near Ajmer in Rajasthan at the Gurjar mahasabha in the aftermath of the violence. I am sitting there in the media gallery where Gurjar attendees are encroaching upon the elevated stage meant for mediapersons. those are the people whose 'lifetime experiences' you find etched on their faces - that is a beautiful observation, I must say. You put words to my reasons of putting the photo up. Thanks!
Good to hear from you Shivam. I am planning to visit coastal Andhra villages for about 7 weeks this winter and may visit Delhi too. May see you sometime. cheers. Swarup
