Academic blogging

I have not gone through this carefully yet but Abi and others may be interested:

There also discussions in http://madisonian.net/ a blog about law etc. I do not understand many things here but browse through once in a while after Crazyfinger convinced me (http://www.crazyfinger.org/2006/03/its_the_law_not.html#comments) that legal studies are imortant and that a large variety of “free-market failures” are really failures of the law.

Wow, thanks for the links on the "academic blogging" post. I've been wondering where I fit in. After reading "Blogging: An Academic Question" on Le Blog Bérubé, it's all much clearer to me now. Fortunately I have tenure, so I can write whatever I want. What's more important is the idea of the "public intellectual" writing about an area of expertise that the general public would otherwise devote little or no attention to. That will be my goal at The Curious Stall, I hope readers like you will hold me accountable.

Thanks again for combing the blogosphere and leading me to some interesting content.

Sure; it is easier to react and comment than read, think and develop one's thoughts. I am still feeling my way around and hope that with discussions and more study some coherent thoughts may develop.
